Dear Business Owner or Manager,

Duds for Doodlebugs is a semi-annual children’s consignment sale in Hattiesburg, MS. Our sale is a place where parents or grandparents can bring gently used items that their children or grandchildren have outgrown and resell it to recoup some of the cost. It is also a place where consumers can find great bargains on new or gently used children’s clothes, toys, bedding, furniture, and more.

We are approaching our seventh sale, which will be held October 1-4, 2008 in the main building at the Forrest County Multi-Purpose Center on Hwy 49. We will have a pre-sale for our volunteer workers, consignors and vendors and then be open to the public for 3 days.

We are trying to incorporate the community in this sale to promote local businesses and organizations. We are also trying to give our consignors an extra benefit for coming to consign with our sale; they will each receive a goodie bag filled with coupons, flyers and freebies from businesses in our area. During our spring sale we gave out 600 bags. This spring, we plan to give away 700! They go to our volunteer workers, consignors and early shoppers.

We would love for your business to participate by either contributing to our goodie bag and/or donating your product as a door prize. If you want to provide us with more than the minimum 700 coupons we will gladly pass the remainders to shoppers during the public sale. Ideas are coupons, magnets, pens, gift baskets, items from your store, or other free gifts.

As an added bonus, we will provide you with two free passes to our pre-sale on Wednesday, October 1, at 7pm. You are welcome to share the passes with an employee, family member or neighbor to shop before we open to the public.

We also have other sponsorship options including vendor space during the sale, adding your logo to our web site and/or hanging signage on the walls of the building during the sale. If you have other ideas, let us know, we may be willing to incorporate your idea into our sale!
